THE CLASS
The size and 'easy to sail' characteristics of the international 420 make it ideally suited for both competitive and recreational sailing by all members of the family, whether young or old.

With International status granted by the ISAF, the 420 has grown rapidly throughout the world and is now recognised as the premier youth training dinghy. The 420 is the natural choice for National and World Youth Championships. Over 48,000 boats have been built since its introduction, proving beyond doubt that this is a popular, safe craft that will hold its value. The ISAF tightly control both design and construction ensuring the highest level of uniformity.

CHARACTERISTICS
The 420 offers performance, strength and a higher degree of safety than many other Classes. Buoyancy tanks are vacuum tested, and sealed expanded foam will keep the craft afloat, even if holed. The rig is easily manageable in the strongest of wind conditions and performance is boosted with the addition of a trapeze and spinnaker. With an all up weight of just 100 kilos the 420 can be towed or carried on a roof rack.

THE RONDAR 420
Rondar Boats have been the ISAF Licensed 420 Builder in the UK since 1973 and over 3000 boats have been built for customers in the UK, Europe and around the world. Our model has been particularly successful because of the Rondar policy of continuous quality improvement. Rondar were one of the first builders to develop vacuum testing on all buoyancy tanks, ensuring the highest safety standards.

SPECIFICATION
A choice of two specifications are available to best suit your requirment. Our Regatta model is built to optimise the racing performance. The College version (white hull, white deck) is strengthened to offer many years of hard sailing that are given to the boats by sailing schools and education authorities. All hulls are measured by an independent RYA measurer before leaving the factory.
